Who:
Central Virginia AMA

Background:
The Central Virginia AMA is a non-profit
organization committed to providing professional
development opportunities
and networking for all sectors of the marketing
community. Our coverage area spans a wide
range in Virginia including
Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, Roanoke,
Blacksburg, Lynchburg, and everywhere in
between. Our chapter is one of 74
professional chapters throughout the U.S.
and Canada, with an International Headquarters
(IH) located in Chicago, IL.
While IH has been promising an overall AMA
“brand”, the end result is still
many years away. That stated, many chapters
have taken it upon themselves to develop
a local brand which is unique to their area/membership.

AMA, Orange
County AMA, San
Antonio AMA, Boston
AMA, New
York AMA
In addition, the Central Virginia AMA is
the only group in our area with a focus
strictly on marketing.
Project/Objective:
The Central Virginia AMA seeks a new identity
unique to its chapter which is reflective
of its mission and vision.
Mission:
To be the cutting edge marketing resource
for Central Virginia. To provide innovative
programming and
networking opportunities to keep our marketing
community ahead of the curve.
Vision:
To be the leader for marketing education
and networking in the Central Virginia area.
We would
like our new logo/identity to portray the
following elements about our chapter:
- Innovative
- Friendly
- Fun
- Professional
- Educational (not just networking)
- Our coverage area: Central Virginia (not
just Charlottesville)
Audience:
Our audience consists of a diverse group
members and non-members who attend events.
They span all realms of the
marketing profession including corporate/marketing
managers, creative professionals: advertising,
graphic/web designers,
as well as the academic community.
Rules
for Entry/Submission Details:
- This contest is open to Central VA AMA
members ONLY.
- Up to 3 entries per member will be accepted.
- Designs must be created in vector format.
(The winner will be asked to convert the
file into RGB and CMYK files for web and
print purposes.)
- You may choose to use “Central Virginia
AMA” OR “Central VA AMA”
in your design.
(Note: Our updated website URL will be centralvaama.org)
- Creative license is yours! Feel free to
use any colors, fonts, etc. as you see fit.
- Please submit your entries in RGB format/150
dpi/jpeg format to info@cville-ama.org.
- Deadline: August 15
